About me
Hi, and welcome to my counselling practice. I decided from a young age I wanted to pursue a career in helping people. This led me to undertake a psychology degree at University of Central Lancashire. From there I went on to be a personal advisor and then later a mentor working with young people. It was in this role that I decided I would like to go further and help people on a deeper level. I went back to university and trained as a counsellor at Leeds Beckett University. I became a BACP Accredited counsellor in March 2023 which means I have a more senior level of expertise and experience in my field.
I have previously worked for Rochdale and district Mind, Noah’s Ark centre and Healthy Minds in Halifax where I have supported a very diverse range of clients and issues. Currently as well as working with private clients I also work with the EAP Health Assured. I also work with ManageMinds offering online therapy nationally. Recently, I have started working for Women Centre as a Survive and Thrive Counsellor in Bradford working with victims of domestic abuse. I have particular specialisms in working with clients with autism, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and sexual and physical abuse as well as people who have been in emotionally abusive relationships. I work together with clients to help them achieve their goals and lead a more fulfilling life. Often past experiences can cause problems and behaviours in the present and therefore we may need to explore this in order for you to move forward in your future life goals.
